Hello, my name is Amanda and I am a self-proclaimed "craft-oholic!" My mom taught me to crochet at 8-years-old and I've been hooked on creating beautiful things ever since! In my 30 years, I have crocheted, cross-stitched, scrapbooked, knitted (rather unsuccessfully), and generally crafted my way through the world...well at least through the South! I also LOVE to cook and bake and have become quite successful in that endeavor as well. I, for one, feel that cooking and baking are their own crafts as well--I create beautiful meals and desserts that are tasty and fulfilling to my family and friends. Yum!
However, as much as a craft crazy lady that I am, there is one craft I have never tackled--SEWING!! Now, I can sew a button on my husband's suit coat and can fix some holes now and again, but they are some ugly stitches to say it nicely! But I have always loved beautiful fabrics and wanted to make beautiful things with them. So--it's on now!! And while I know there are millions of craft blogs out there, I'm throwing my name in the hat as someone that is BRAND NEW! So feel free to join me as I stitch, darn, and quilt my way into the new world of sewing!
